Nora's Bio
The Nurse Who Traded Her Scrubs for a Pen
Nora Hale spent decades as a Registered Nurse watching people wait for the "right time" to take care of themselves. She decided the right time is always right now, and she has been writing about it ever since.
Her first book, Simple Habits for a Vibrant Life, grew out of everything she learned in healthcare and everything she wished her patients had known sooner: that small, consistent choices matter far more than dramatic overhauls.
Her second book, Castor Oil For Life, takes that same spirit and turns it toward one of nature's oldest remedies. With more than 175 recipes woven throughout its chapters, what surprises most readers is how far the book reaches beyond beauty, into gut health, immunity, pain relief, and even a few territories they never expected castor oil to touch. Every recipe comes with clear directions and the reasoning behind it, so readers understand what they are doing and why. Nora brings her nurse's mind to an ancient remedy, making the whole thing feel completely approachable.
When Nora is not writing, she is on her yoga mat at sunrise, experimenting in the kitchen, or planning her next trip somewhere she has never been. She also rides her bike when the mood strikes, which is exactly how she thinks exercise should work.
Her greatest joy is her grandchildren, who call her Grandmama. Some of their best days together have been at the beach, no schedules, no agenda, just the kind of unhurried time that becomes a memory before it is even over.
Nora believes that vibrant living is less about discipline and more about paying attention: to what your body needs, to the people you love, and to the small pleasures that make an ordinary day feel like enough.
